Retention period
- Retention window: 28 days
- Scope: data related to emails you send through Lettermint (e.g., message metadata and delivery events surfaced in the dashboard and APIs)
- After 28 days: data aged beyond the window is automatically and permanently deleted by our systems
The 28‑day policy applies continuously: each item is removed automatically when it exceeds 28 days of age.
GDPR alignment
GDPR requires controllers to honor data erasure requests “without undue delay” and generally within one month. Because Lettermint automatically deletes sent‑email data after 28 days, your historical sent‑email data at Lettermint will naturally age out within that one‑month window. What this means for you:- Automatic aging: If a user requests deletion, and you do not need to retain their sent‑email data for other lawful reasons, the data stored at Lettermint will be removed automatically when it exceeds 28 days.
- Faster response: You can also delete specific data earlier where supported in your workflows (see below), but you are not required to keep it longer for Lettermint’s purposes.
You remain responsible for handling erasure and other data subject rights within your own systems and any other processors you use.
